A act that requires the Justice Department to discharge its data on Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was quickly passed by the House and Senate on Tuesday.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed by Senators universally, just days off, and almost universally in close proximity to unanimity, before the bill was actually sent to the Senate.

On Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY ) requested unanimous consent.

The bill will then go straight to President Donald Trump, who has pledged to mark it, for name.

The Justice Department is required to launch the documents in the Epstein case, which is a well-known businessman who died by suicide in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and abuse charges against minors.

The measure, which was approved by the House of Representatives last year, received a significant increase over the weekend when Trump reversed his program and urged Democrats to support it.

The bipartisan duo who co-wrote the legislation and managed to avert a vote in the House of Representatives despite objections from their leadership spent the last few days attempting to arouse the required support. Representatives Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky ) and Ro Khanna ( Democrat from California ). The lawmakers who have been guiding this action for months now have a big victory with this measure. The release of Epstein's data may be delayed, yet, because the invoice allows the Justice Department to withhold information that might interfere with an ongoing federal investigation. Trump's subsequent request that the Justice Department look into Epstein's connections to other prominent figures could put an end to the investigation.
