Nissan decided to move its chips earlier than planned. The Japanese brand will advance the arrival of the Rogue Hybrid 2027 to U.S. dealers and will start selling it in November 2026, a date that represents a major change from the original calendar.

The decision also comes with a particularity. The initial launch will be quite limited, so not all customers who want the new electrified SUV will be able to find a unit right away. According to an Automotive News report, each dealer will start receiving only two vehicles.

With a network close to 1,050 dealers in the United States, Nissan would initially put around 2,100 units on the market. Production will gradually increase to about 6,000 units available by March 2027.
The Rogue is one of Nissan’s most important models in the United States, but its sales have not been alien to the pressure of its competitors. During 2025, the model recorded an 11% drop and closed the year with 217,896 units sold.
Nissan’s share in this segment also fell to 7.6%. The arrival of a hybrid variant appears, therefore, as a response to a market where electrified options are gaining more and more ground.
Hybrid, plug-in hybrids and battery-powered electric vehicles accounted for approximately 24% of U.S. light vehicle sales during the second quarter of 2026. A year earlier, that share was 22%.
Waiting until mid-2027 to launch the new technology would have left Nissan in a complicated position over its main rivals. Therefore, the company decided to speed up the process and advance the premiere again.
The Rogue Hybrid 2027 will use Nissan’s e-Power technology, a proposal different from that of other conventional hybrid systems.
The wheels are driven directly by electric motors, while a three-cylinder and 1.5 litre turbocharged engine generates the electricity needed to power the system.
The intention is to offer a driving feeling closer to that of an electric vehicle, without forcing the owner to rely on a large battery or a charging station.
Nissan already uses this technology in other international markets and the e-Power system has been present in models such as the Note and the X-Trail. Their arrival at Rogue could become one of the main arguments for attracting new buyers.
The launch will begin with the high-end version, which will be the first to reach dealers during November 2026. Subsequently, Nissan will increase the inventory and plans to incorporate two additional versions in March 2027.
Limited initial availability could generate higher demand than supply, especially if the new Rogue manages to quickly capture the attention of buyers interested in an electrified SUV.
The brand has not yet confirmed how much the Rogue e-Power 2027 will cost. Nissan is expected to reveal all the details related to its versions, equipment and price soon.
As a reference, the current plug-in hybrid remains around $46,000 dollars. The price of the new Rogue Hybrid could be located in a near range, although for now we will have to wait for official information from Nissan.
