According to official data, vehicle sales in the United States increased by 2.4% in 2025, marking the industry's strongest performance since 2019, amid headwinds that could have led to a different outcome.

According to Andrew Gilleland, senior vice president of Toyota Motor North America’s Automotive Operations Group, sales increased to $2,147,811, with the Toyota RAV4 being the top-selling vehicle.

Tesla

Meanwhile, Tesla reported sales increased to $1,636,129, with the Tesla Model 1 being the top-selling vehicle.

“In the fourth quarter, we produced more than 434,000 vehicles, delivered more than 418,000 vehicles, and deployed 14.2 GWh of energy storage products, a record for deployments,” he highlighted.
