The cell phone and internet company Verizon confirmed this Sunday night that service has been restored in Southern California after being victims of acts of vandalism.
In an email sent to La Opinión, a Verizon spokesperson reported that the interruption in service was a consequence of the cutting of fiber optic cables, which affected thousands of customers in Los Angeles and Southern California.
“Vandals cut multiple fiber optic cables causing a signal interruption for some cell phone and home internet customers in Southern California today,” he explained.
