Pennsylvania authorities are investigating the death of a woman and her ex-partner after both were found dead inside a home in Wilkinsburg, where two little girls who had been alone for several days also remained.

The Wilkinsburg Police Department reported that officers responded to the residence on Monday after receiving calls from people concerned about the family who lived there.

Upon entering the home they found the bodies of Lamara Baldwin, 31, and Lamont Dunlap, 42. Two girls, ages 1 and 3, were also inside.

Authorities believe they had been dead for several days.

According to information cited by local media WTAE, investigators believe that Baldwin and Dunlap would have died on July 31, based on the evidence located inside the home.

The two minors were taken to a hospital, where they were left in stable condition. They were later taken into the custody of Child Protective Services (Children and Youth Services).

Neighbors and people close to the family indicated that both girls are Baldwin's daughters and that the woman and Dunlap had had a romantic relationship in the past, although they were no longer a couple at the time of her death.

There were no obvious signs of violence

According to police, neither body showed visible signs of trauma or injuries.

Authorities hope that autopsies performed by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of the deaths.

Meanwhile, the investigation remains open.

Neighbors informed the police that the dog that lived in the house was not there when the officers arrived.

Subsequently, the animal was located and was placed under the protection of the Humane Animal Rescue organization of Pittsburgh.

The woman had spoken about her mental health on social networks

Before her passing, Lamara Baldwin posted several livestreams on Facebook in which she discussed her mental health, her living situation, and personal issues related to feeling cheated.

His last transmission was published on July 31, the date on which investigators believe the death occurred.

In that video, Baldwin expressed, “I don't know how much more I can take.”

So far, authorities have not established whether these publications are related to the circumstances of the deaths and continue to collect evidence to clarify what happened.
