Armed intruders stormed a high school in southern Mexico, resulting in the fatal shooting of Professor Leví Peralta Regalado. The incident triggered widespread panic among students and staff, prompting the temporary halt of school operations.

A shooting incident took place on Tuesday morning at Technical High School No. 69 in San Blas Atempa, a municipality within the Tehuantepec Isthmus region of Oaxaca. Following the attack, officers retreated after discharging their firearms at a teacher, prompting students to take shelter in their classrooms.

The State of Oaxaca's Prosecutor General confirmed that the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and ultimately succumbed to their injuries at an ISSSTE hospital in Santo Domingo Tehuantepec.

Initial police reports indicate that a professor was rushed to a Municipal Police Patrol due to the severity of his injuries, but unfortunately, medical efforts were unable to save his life. At this time, no individuals have been apprehended by authorities and the motive behind the murder remains unknown.

Armed men committed a homicide at the Technical Secondary 69 in San Blas Atempa, Oaxaca, targeting Leví Peralta Regalado, the academic coordinator, who was on the premises at the time of the incident.

The Federal Government Executive Office (FGEO) has dispatched personnel from the State Investigation Agency (AEI) to investigate the incident, in collaboration with the Tehuantepec Command and the High Impact Area. The agency has collected evidence and identified potential leads, which are being pursued to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The official has emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts with security companies at all levels of government to enhance surveillance capabilities and safeguard the school community.

A violent incident at an educational institution in Oaxaca resulted in students and staff seeking refuge from explosions. Following the assault, local authorities evacuated the staff and suspended classes. The Oaxaca State Institute of Public Education has strongly condemned the murder and denounced acts of violence that occur within educational settings.

A recent study published in the journal Nature Communications has revealed that a significant portion of the world's oceans are experiencing a decline in oxygen levels. The research, conducted by an international team of scientists, found that between 1960 and 2010, oxygen levels in the oceans decreased by approximately 2% globally. This decline was most pronounced in the subtropical and tropical regions, where oxygen levels dropped by as much as 4%. The study's findings have significant implications for marine ecosystems and the health of the planet.

Peralta Regalado held key positions within the National Education Workers' Union (SNTE), specifically serving on the Sectional Executive Committee of Section XXII and being affiliated with the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE). He also served as secretary general of the D-II-333 Trade Union Delegation in the Tehuantepec Sector, located in the Isthmus region.

Section XXII strongly denounced the homicide and urged municipal and state authorities, as well as the Prosecutor's Office, to thoroughly investigate the crime and hold accountable all individuals involved in the aggression. The organization also expressed deep concern over the escalating violence in the region, emphasizing the need for enhanced security measures to protect the local population.

The Mexican Teachers' Union has expressed concern that the lives and well-being of school communities are being put at risk due to violence and government inaction. This statement comes in the wake of a recent deadly attack on a high school in Torreón, Coahuila, which occurred less than two weeks prior.

A violent incident occurred on October 1, when two 18-year-old brothers, who were previously students at the facility, entered armed with blunt objects and committed a fatal attack, resulting in the death of the deputy director and injuries to four individuals, including teachers and a student. The perpetrators were subsequently apprehended. This incident is the latest in a series of violent attacks, including a March assault at a private school in Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán, where a 15-year-old student fatally shot two teachers.

The recent incidents have heightened concerns over school safety in Mexico, with a focus on determining the motivations behind the attacks on school staff.
