The family of a 19-year-old Hispanic man who was fatally shot and killed by Anaheim Police Department ( APD ) officers announced on Tuesday that they will file a lawsuit against the city.

Two soldiers were reportedly on the scene on December 6 while conducting an anti-gang patrol on the 800 block of South Philadelphia Street.

The officers ran into some people in front of a home, and the clash between the officers and the people eventually turned into a fight, according to the APD.
