After being found guilty of having sexual relations with a 16-year-old student during a party held at her home in July 2024, Misty Roberts, the former governor of DeRidder, Louisiana, was given a 90-day prison sentence.

Roberts, 43, was found guilty in March of the offenses of immoral conduct with a slight and carnal knowledge of a minor. The events took place during his son's birthday party, which attracted the company of some teenagers.
