A man was arrested for driving a sports car at 140 miles per hour (225 km/h) in a speed limit zone of 70 miles per hour (112 km/h) on a Riverside County highway, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported.

According to the CHP, the suspected driver was stopped by an officer while speeding on Freeway 15 in the Temecula area.

Authorities confiscated the sports car, while the man received a ticket for reckless driving and exceeding 100 miles per hour (160 km/h).
