A student died Tuesday after being seriously injured during an altercation at Ross Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas, local authorities reported.

The Baytown Police Department confirmed that they responded to a report of a stabbing around 10:30 am inside the school. educational.

According to the official report, the incident began with a confrontation between two students, during which one of them allegedly pulled out a knife and injured the other.

Emergency Transfer and Death

The victim was initially treated by paramedics and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Due to the severity of the injuries, he was later airlifted to Texas Medical Center, where he died hours later.

The Goose Creek Independent and Consolidated School District reported in a statement that the alleged attacker was taken into police custody and that there is no active threat to the campus related to the incident.
