Two parents wanted in connection with an investigation into endangering four minors have been arrested, authorities announced.
Officers from the Lakeside Police Department arrested Auston Patrick Green and Cindy Cristina Chevez Batres. Both were booked into the Tarrant County Jail.
Each parent faces four counts of child abandonment or endangerment.
The charges stem from a joint investigation between local law enforcement and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Medical evaluations conducted during the investigation revealed that four young children tested positive for fentanyl.
According to Tarrant County arrest records, Green is being held on four separate $10,000 bonds on child endangerment charges, totaling $40,000.
Chevez Batres is being held on four separate $7,500 bonds on child endangerment charges, totaling $30,000.
According to police records, she also has an active arrest warrant out of Denton County for theft of property valued between $100 and $750.
The arrests followed a Lakeside Police Department investigation into the couple. Further details regarding the condition and safety of the four children have not yet been released.
