The Northeast Cartel, the Old School Zetas, and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel ( CJNG ), which have historically been involved in conflicts in the area, were among the criminal organizations that made the discovery.

Torres Muguerza stated that the prisoners would be moved to the State Attorney General's Office in order to launch the necessary investigations.

The standard assured that more information will be made available once the Peacebuilding Roundtable has more information about the case, despite questions about the prisoners ' names.
