After lighting up the alarms on the weekend during a presentation at the World Trade Center in Veracruz, Alejandra Guzmán reappeared to share details of her recovery.
The Mexican singer had to abruptly suspend her show after dislocating her hip on the stage, inconvenience for which she had to be urgently transferred to a local medical center.
Through a message broadcast by Televisa Espectáculos, the 58-year-old artist showed good mood and even stood up to certify her improvement. “I’ve gone to the doctor, I’ve rested and I’ve already gotten disinflamed,” said the performer of “Eternally Beautiful”, who has two hip prosthesis due to wear caused by her dance trajectory and prior complications from biopolymers.
The artist said that later she was treated in a timely manner by traumatologist Eduardo Arévalo, a professional who was in the concert hall.
Guzmán expressed his gratitude to the public and the health professionals who assisted her. “Thanks to God that I’m fine, I’m complete, I’m walking,” he said, while acknowledging that he must adapt his dynamics on the stage to avoid relapses. “The dance I will have to leave it quieter, but that there is Alejandra, there is Alejandra for a long time.”
Finally, through a statement addressed to her Veracruz fans, the Latin Grammy winner ratified her commitment to reprogram the pending date as soon as she concludes her rest. “This date was stopped, so very soon we resumed with all the rock force.”
