Reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee is pushing the limits of his artistic expression with the world premiere of "La postal: Written in the Dance", a microserie that draws inspiration from his latest record production, "La postal". The event will be held on Tuesday with a live broadcast from San Juan, marking a significant milestone in his career following the release of the album on October 30.
The artist's new production, optimized for mobile devices in a vertical format, will be accessible on their official YouTube channel and the US-based platform aTwist. The narrative-driven content brings the musical universe of the artist's album to life, set against the backdrop of a high-stakes dance competition in the Puerto Rican capital, where a poignant reunion unfolds unexpectedly.
Two former partners, who have since moved on with new relationships and joined rival dance troupes, are set to clash on stage as they confront the truth about their past and vie for a coveted spot on Daddy Yankee's tour, potentially rekindling a long-lost romance.
The artist sought to revive the long-standing tradition of telenovelas in Latino culture, reimagining the narrative through a fusion of music and dance in their work 'La postal: Written in the Dance'.
The album 'La postal' features 15 tracks that explore various aspects of love, including romantic, familial and personal connections, as well as a passion for Latin music. Notable collaborations on the album include Bizarrap, Cardi B, and Diljit Dosanjh.
Following the initial broadcast, the complete series will be accessible for viewing at no cost on YouTube and aTwist, a platform that also features exclusive content, including behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the artist.
