A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has ruled in favor of allowing Maceo, the 13-year-old son of Halle Berry and her ex-husband Olivier Martinez, to testify in their ongoing judicial dispute. The decision comes in response to allegations of physical abuse made against the actress.

Magistrate Shelley Kaufman has ruled that the minor's intervention will be limited to requesting a restraining order against Berry. This decision follows a formal request from Martinez, who sought to allow his son to testify in court and provide his account of events that transpired on September 26.

A recent escalation in the ongoing conflict between the actor and the mother of a teenager led to allegations that the mother, known for her role in the film "Monster's Ball," physically assaulted the child. The complaint details the incident, stating that the mother allegedly placed her hands on the child's neck. Following these allegations, a judge has awarded the teenager's father provisional primary custody, with the mother permitted supervised visits with the child on a limited schedule of two days per week and alternate weekends.

Halle Berry has refuted allegations of violence against her son, stating in court documents that she is a survivor of domestic abuse and would never harm her loved ones. The actress has also expressed concern that her son Maceo's testimony may be being manipulated or influenced by his partner.

In her defense, actress Halle Berry requested that the testimony of certain witnesses be taken into account. These witnesses include her fiancé, musician Van Hunt, who was the only adult present during the incident, and her eldest daughter, Nahla Aubry, 18, who has publicly expressed support for Berry's parenting style, stating that she has never witnessed any abusive behavior.

The adolescent's testimony is a crucial element in clarifying the situation, according to the minor's lawyer, as the case moves towards a pivotal phase that will ultimately determine the future custody arrangements.
