The name of actress Halle Berry remains in the center of the controversy after a judge granted a temporary restriction order against her for the claim of alleged physical and verbal abuse against her 12-year-old son Maceo.

In the midst of the heated debate that was generated, the Oscar winner broke the silence and shared her stance before the accusations of her ex-husband Olivier Martinez.

Through his defense team, led by lawyer Marina Beck, Halle Berry described the signals as “totally unfounded and deliberately deceptive.” In addition, she said this is not the first time her ex-husband has attempted to undermine their efforts to ensure the well-being of their common child.

According to his testimony, “there are abundant evidence, including numerous court rulings that would demonstrate that Olivier Martinez violated court orders and hindered therapeutic and educational interventions necessary for Maceo’s well-being.”

The legal defender of the artist added that during the years of shared upbringing differences have been presented that have detonated inappropriate attitudes in Martinez.

“Today’s presentation is not entirely unexpected for a person with a well-documented history of erratic, possessive and violent behavior,” said lawyer Marina Beck. Despite this fact, he stressed that Berry will not take his finger off the line until he safeguards his son’s interests.

It was on October 2 when the TMZ portal revealed the lawsuit that the histrion filed against his ex-wife, alleging a presumed physical assault by Berry on his 12-year-old son.

The petition filed before the Los Angeles Court details that the incident of physical assault would have occurred on September 26. However, Oliver says this would not have been an isolated fact. The artist noted that there have been “other instances of abuse in recent years” of the verbal and emotional type.

In addition to this order, the Hollywood star’s ex-husband expressed his wish that Berry “receives the right help he needs to address his problems and thus be able to improve, which in turn would help the minor in the face of the future.”

According to information cited by EFE, the removal order will be in force until a new hearing is held at the end of the month to decide whether the measure is lifted or becomes permanent.
