Boxer Oleksandr Usyk's entourage is evaluating the available alternatives to organize his last professional engagement in the ring, placing the American Deontay Wilder as the main option to headline the farewell card.

According to the statements made by the director of his work team, Sergey Lapin, conversations with international promoters remain active to specify the conditions of the event.

In an interview with the Pari Match information platform, the leader explained that the fight against Wilder represents the alternative with the greatest commercial and sporting viability for the Ukrainian athlete.

The analysis of the champion's coaching staff considers that measuring strength against the North American knockout constitutes the ideal closing for his cycle in paid boxing. During the conversation with Pari Match, the camp manager argued that negotiations are still in progress to define the terms of the clash.

“Usyk vs. Wilder is definitely one of the loudest and most realistic options at the moment,” said Lapin when analyzing the list of opponents available for the last function.
