Following the immigration raids led by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the United States, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) asked Mexicans this Saturday to "travel responsibly" and respect "local laws" in Santa Clara, California, where the Super Bowl will be held on February 8 LX.

In a message on social media, the Mexican Foreign Ministry offered recommendations to Mexican travelers, advising them that, in case of detention, they should ask US authorities to notify the corresponding Mexican consulate for further guidance.

“Travel responsibly and remember that local laws must be respected at all times,” the ministry's message emphasized.

It also reminded travelers that the consulate provides assistance in case of lost passports, detentions, medical attention, and support if they are victims of abuse or crime.

It also noted that Mexican consular offices in the region and the Consular Support Line are available as the primary means of assistance.

The Foreign Ministry's warning comes in a context where the US has deployed violent immigration raids in California and in cities like Minneapolis, which have resulted in the deaths of two civilians at the hands of ICE and Customs agents. and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
