The fire at the Lineage frozen food storage warehouse in the Boyle Heights neighborhood, which remained active for more than a week, has been officially declared extinguished, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported.

The flames were reported shortly before 2:30 p.m. on June 17 at the structure located in the 1400 block of South Los Palos Street. The LAFD said the fire was brought under control around 6:00 p.m. on June 24.

According to a statement from Lineage, everything indicates that the fire originated when Altus Power contractors were carrying out tests on a solar panel system on the roof of the building, a version that was denied by representatives of Altus Power.
