Evacuation orders canceled after chemical emergency in Orange County

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) announced that as of the night of Tuesday, May 26, all evacuation orders due to the chemical emergency at an industrial facility in the city of Garden Grove were lifted.
The OCFA announcement came after Orange County health officials, fire crews and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) determined that there is no chemical leak or threat of an explosion or fire at the GKN Aerospace plant.
After the announcement, about 16,000 people who remained under the evacuation order were cleared to return home safely.
