All helicopters from Los Angeles International Airport ( LAX ), including police, fire, and emergency medical helicopters, have been completely prohibited by the Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ).

The FAA has started deceiving all calls from aircraft pilots to enter, or even bridge, LAX airport, according to Jorge Gonzalez, the director of activities for Helinet and former helicopter pilot of the Los Angeles Police Department Angeles. The carrier's controlled airport has been restricted to all aircraft operations. Period. Gonzalez stated in an interview with ABC that the reason for this is a puzzle to him.
