Hundreds of workers received layoff notices at facilities of well-known companies in Southern California.

According to the Los Angeles Times, FedEx, Staples and LAZ Parking companies cut around 500 jobs in Southern California.

FedEx will reportedly close its Victorville and Palm Springs facilities next month, representing the loss of 116 jobs.
