Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) arrested a Los Angeles man, and a judge temporarily halted his deportation.
The federal immigration company was about to deport Alex Pereira-Alves to Guyana, a country he had never been to until. He was originally from Brazil.
A judge has suspended Pereira-Alves ' extradition to the South American nation, giving his lawyer more time to file a case against his deportation from the land, while the West Hollywood citizen is still under national surveillance at the ICE Processing Center in Adelanto.
