Los Angeles municipal workers made significant progress in work to replace the 25-foot (7.6-meter) long stretch of a water main that caused severe flooding in the West Hollywood area on Thursday, July 16.

This Saturday, workers from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) worked in a huge trench to replace the damaged section through which around 17 million gallons of water spilled.

Due to the amount of liquid, which came out with quite a force, it dragged vehicles through the streets and displaced huge pieces of asphalt and concrete slabs, in addition to flooding several garages.
