The off-duty officer who died early on Saturday morning in a car crash in Santa Clarita was named as Bailey Magana by the Los Angeles Police Department ( LAPD).

When his vehicle struck a mast, burst into flames, and ran off the road in Santa Clarita, California, at the age of 25, Officer Magana, who was assigned to the Mission Division, was there. Officer Magana passed away on Saturday night in a Santa Clarita customers incident, according to LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell, who posted a message on the police agency's Facebook page.
