Democratic candidate Randy Villegas advanced to the November general elections for California's 22nd congressional district, where he will face Republican David Valadao, who is seeking re-election.
According to the vote count available this Tuesday, June 9, Valadao was in front of the election, with 41.8% (26,602 votes), and Villegas in second place, with 31.4% (19,995 votes).
According to the California primary, the two candidates who receive the highest number of votes advance to the runoff, which will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
