On Monday, violent Santa Ana winds caused a trail of damage to many Southern California cities.

A round of winds caused the region to experience heavy rainfall during Christmas week, which caused the region to experience damage to many locations and fallen trees. A large branch fell on energy lines in the Moorpark neighborhood, making it impossible for the California Highway Patrol to preserve SR-118 closed until night.
