According to the Los Angeles Police Department ( LAPD), two teenagers escaped a North Hills area attempted kidnapping on Sunday.
The women, ages 13 and 16, were contacted by the assume for the first time in North Hills Community Park, near the intersection of Acre Street and Columbus Avenue, according to LAPD Detective Efren Gutierrez. The youth declined and continued walking, according to Gutierrez, adding that the man stopped next to them on Sunday evening and offered them a trip.
