Geely is poised to launch a significant expansion in the European market, with plans to introduce vehicles tailored specifically to local tastes, potentially posing a challenge to established models such as the Land Rover Defender.

The Kia EV6 is set to maintain its current lineup for the 2027 model year, with no changes to the existing seven trim levels.

A highly anticipated vehicle, designed in Milan and set to debut in 2027, will be a flagship launch for the company, featuring a cutting-edge plug-in all-terrain hybrid model.

Ford has conceptualized a vehicle that remains stationary, with the primary intention of deterring theft.

The company aims to establish a unique presence in the market by introducing a distinct offer that is not merely a variation of existing products or services.

Geely's product definition director, Dennis Weinel, stated that the company has identified areas for improvement in its existing vehicles based on its commercial experience in Europe.

A new model tailored to this market is scheduled to debut in 2027, with its specifications and branding yet to be finalized. Although its name and features remain undetermined, the company is considering potential global distribution beyond its initial target region.

The driving experience is set to undergo enhancements. The Flyme multimedia system will feature split-screen functionality, enabling multitasking capabilities and scalable widgets. Additionally, driving assistance alerts will be customizable, allowing users to adjust volume settings and establish specific activation conditions.

The most notable project unveiled is the Geely KO11, which is the European designation for the Galaxy Cruiser 700 model previously introduced in China.

A recently unveiled model measures approximately 5.1 meters in length, positioning it within the Land Rover Defender segment. The Chinese variant is equipped with a 2.0-litre gasoline turbo engine, paired with three electric motors and all-wheel drive capabilities.

A high-performance variant of a vehicle model has been unveiled for the Chinese market, boasting an impressive 1,113 horsepower and 1,330 Newton meters of torque, paired with a 47 kilowatt-hour battery.

Geely and Ford have formed a strategic partnership, revealed in July 2026, to manufacture two electric sport utility vehicles at Geely's facility in Almussafes, Valencia, Spain, with production set to commence in 2028.

The initiative aims to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities by producing vehicles near their end-users and expanding the company's industrial footprint across the continent.

The brand aims to transition from being an alternative primarily sourced from China to a manufacturer capable of designing and producing products tailored to European markets. If its newly introduced all-terrain vehicle successfully integrates advanced technology, exceptional off-road capabilities, and a competitive pricing strategy, it may pose a significant challenge to the Defender's market presence.
