A 16-year-old teenager, allegedly armed with a knife, was shot dead by Santa Ana police after a domestic conflict that left a man and the young man's mother with injuries caused by a knife.

The Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) reported that a call was received at approximately 1030 p.m. this Sunday to report that his girlfriend's son had a knife and was vandalizing property under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

SAPD officers responded to the scene, in the 3400 block of South Main Street, where officers still heard an argument coming from one of the apartments.
