A 20-year-old Hispanic woman died from a stray bullet that passed through the room where she was sleeping early this Sunday in the Vermont neighborhood, south of Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as María Barrios Ventura, who died in the bedroom of her home, located in the 400 block of West 103rd Street.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said the incident was reported at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
