Some areas in the United States may require longer road trips when purchasing a Lincoln vehicle.

Volkswagen has announced plans to reintroduce the ID.Buzz to the US market, marking a significant return for the iconic electric vehicle.

Lincoln, Ford's luxury brand, is set to undergo a substantial restructuring by 2027, resulting in a significant reduction in its dealership network. The brand plans to consolidate its operations to fewer than 300 dealerships, a notable decrease from its current 387 locations and a further reduction from the 797 dealerships in operation at the end of 2019.

The 2027 model of the Blazer EV has experienced a significant price increase, resulting in a decline in sales.

The company's new strategy aims to focus sales on more stable and financially secure dealerships, enabling them to invest in upgraded facilities and provide enhanced customer care. As stated by Lincoln, the average number of vehicles sold per remaining dealership has seen a significant increase, more than doubling in recent periods.

A strategic reorganization initiative launched by Lincoln in 2023 has yielded promising financial outcomes for the company's select distributors, with indications of continued success through 2026, marking a potential third consecutive year of enhanced profitability for the brand.

The key challenge for the company will be maintaining proximity to its customers, as a reduced network may necessitate some buyers to travel further to purchase a vehicle or access technical services. However, the company is confident that upgraded facilities will mitigate this distance and provide a more convenient experience.

Lincoln's sales in the United States declined by 12% between January and September 2026, marking a challenging period for the brand. This downturn is largely attributed to the discontinuation of the Corsair, which ceased production at the end of 2025.

The Lincoln Corsair Hybrid model is scheduled to be reintroduced in 2027, with production sourced from China.

Ford is set to discontinue importing Lincoln vehicles from China to the US market by 2030, amid ongoing trade tensions. The company's other model, the Nautilus, is also subject to a 52.5% tariff.

Lincoln is implementing a unique retail strategy to distinguish its dealerships from those of Ford. The company's "vitrine" concept, featuring glass storefronts and dedicated luxury brand spaces, has resulted in nearly 200 exclusive stores. A milestone was reached recently with the opening of the 100th store to be built under this design.

Ford is reportedly planning to introduce a high-end all-terrain SUV, potentially based on the Ford Bronco, with a projected launch date around 2029. The vehicle is expected to compete with established luxury models such as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and the Land Rover Defender, although the automaker has yet to officially confirm its production plans.

Lincoln has embarked on a pivotal phase, aiming to reduce its dealership count by 300. To achieve this goal, the brand must effectively demonstrate that a smaller network can enhance profitability while maintaining customer loyalty and market competitiveness in the luxury vehicle segment.
