According to authorities, a St. Pete family was charged with first-degree murder on Wednesday night after she allegedly accused her 4-year-old child.

When the teen's sister, Finley Cullom, 16, returned from school to get his family, Diana Cullom, 43, holding his sibling, Finley Cullom, in a bed, officers arrived at the scene around 3:30 pm. Both the home and the picture had blood on them. St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway told WFLA," He entered the house, saw blood outside, saw his 4-year-old brother. " Officers and court records indicate that Cullom suffocated Finley with a plastic bag. She was taken to Bayfront Hospital after inflicting non-life-threatening attack wounds on herself. When she first appeared in court on Wednesday after being charged with the murder of her son, those wounds were apparent on her shoulders. The child was originally believed to have been stabbed to death, but a medical examiner found him to have had no stab wounds and had been asphyxiated on Wednesday morning. The 16-year-old likewise discovered a knife and a note at the house at 1700 Tanglewood Drive Northeast, according to St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway. During a media conference on Tuesday night, Holloway remarked," We believe the word was left by Mom. " The precise details of the note were not made, and police continue to not recognize the family's history of mental illness. Specialists claim that the boy's father was away at the time of the event, according to Fox 13. A judge gave Cullom, who continued to be expressionless and had her hands crossed in judge, a notice on Wednesday that she would remain in jail without bail. He also told her not to communicate with her 16-year-old kid.
