Los Angeles City Council member Curren Price will stand trial on 12 corruption charges after a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge rejected his latest attempt to have his case dismissed.
Price, who represents parts of south and central Los Angeles, is charged with five counts of embezzlement of public funds, four counts of conflict of interest and three counts of perjury.
Judge Larry Paul Fidler denied the motion Friday, Aug. 7, to dismiss the case after finding that prosecutors presented enough evidence during a preliminary hearing to support a finding that probable cause existed.
