The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office won't bring charges against two Huntington Park police officers who shot a man who allegedly stabbed someone in the alleged assault with both legs amputated.
Following an investigation into the shooting that killed Anthony Lowe on January 26, 2023, the organization came to a 28-page report, which stated in a statement that" the evidence demonstrates that Lowe posed an imminent deadly threat to the two officers and others. "
According to the report, it was beyond a doubt that Officers Joshua Volasgis and Paul Munoz lacked a reasonable belief that using deadly force was required to avenge a fugitive legal and protect themselves from an immediate threat of death.
