The very anticipated broadcast version of Isabel Allende's famous book The House of the Souls has been confirmed for Mexican actor Alfonso Herrera.
The output, produced by Prime Video, is expected to have its biggest-ever release of the year, making its official debut at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival, which will take place from February 12 through February 22, 2026. In a tale that follows three generations of women through the eyes of Chile's history, Esteban Trueba, the family patriarch, did Herrera play the role. The actor praised the job as a "reflection of Latin America" and a necessary practice in remembrance, and expressed his enthusiasm for it. The eight episodes-long set is executive produced by performer and entrepreneur Eva Longoria. The project was developed by Francisca Alegria, Fernanda Urrejola, and Andres Wood and is an international collaboration between FilmNation and the Peruvian manufacturing company Fabula. Nicole Wallace, Dolores Fonzi, Fernanda Castillo, Maribel Verdu, Eduard Fernandez, and Antonia Zegers are just a few of the actors who make up Herrera's cast, which is renowned for its variety and fame.
