Actor Brendan Fraser expressed his enthusiasm over the creation of a fourth" Lady" movie that, in his own thoughts, he has been anticipating for 20 years.

While the original series, which kicked off in 1999 with" The Mummy," followed by" The Mummy Returns" ( 2001 ) and" The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" ( 2008 ), was a success, Fraser revealed in a recent interview with the Associated Press that the movie he always envisioned never materialized. The professional stated," The one I wanted to make never got made. Variety reported earlier this month that Universal Pictures is working on a new movie, which will have Rachel Weisz, the actress who played Evelyn Carnahan in the first two movies, as well as Fraser's return. The film will be produced by the duo Radio Silence, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for their work on" Ready or Not" ( 2019 ) and for its 2022 revival. Reflecting on the second movie in the series, Fraser expressed regret for the fourth film in the series, explaining that while he is glad of the ultimate product and considers it to be a" good standalone film," the circumstances of its production, which included NBC's Olympic broadcast rights, led to a different strategy. We accepted the task, did what we normally do, and gave it our best, and we did what we normally do with a distinct group. However, the one I aspired to create is not yet complete. And for the past 20 years, I've been anticipating this visit. The actor had previously indicated interest in reprising his role in a Variety interview a few years prior to winning the Oscar for" The Dolphin" and speaking in a few years. He stated that if" the proper idea" came up, he would remain "open" to a new movie on that occasion. In stark contrast to the Tom Cruise-starring reset of" The Lady" that Universal released in 2017, Frazier's gain stands out. That task, which received a lot of negative press and public criticism, was not undertaken by Frazer. Regarding that version, Fraser said," The element we had in our favor for' The Mummy,' which I didn't see in that film, was fun. The Mummy should be thrilling but no spooky or eerie.

Fans of the story are currently anticipating the highly anticipated fourth episode, but the information of Fraser and Weisz's returning, along with Radio Silence's direction, has certainly sparked a lot of excitement.
