Colombian singer Karol G has made history in the music industry. With her fifth concert tour, titled “Traveling the World, Tropitour”, the artist reached the record of the tour with the highest collection for a Latin female performer in the history of the United States, according to the most recent reports of Touring Data.
Within just two months of the start of her tour on American territory — which began on July 24 at Soldier Field in Chicago — the artist has raised a record $160 million in its first 17 dates. Thus, the singer surpassed her previously established mark with the “Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful Tour”, which earned $138 million over 15 shows.
The tour’s imposing economy responds to a concept designed exclusively for large-capacity stadiums. Among the highlights of the tour is his fully exhausted double performance at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, where it gathered more than 103,000 spectators and raised $25.3 million. In fact, the September 18 performance in the latter area alone amounted to $12.9 million with 53.283 attendees, becoming the single concert with the largest ticket for a Latin on American soil.
Other key stops reflect a massive attendance success: the El Paso Sun Bowl pass left $13.3 million with 76,000 tickets sold; the San Antonio Alamodome totaled $9.2 million with more than 49,000 attendees; while the Foxborough Gillette Stadium gathered more than 36,000 people. Among these four cities, the tour widely exceeded the 265,000 tickets sold.
The U.S. stage is estimated to conclude after 21 dates, with projections aiming to exceed $200 million in total revenue. Subsequently, the tour will continue its international route through Latin America and Europe.
Alongside this success, the artist travels a moment of summit in the musical platforms, after achieving the positioning of her single “BbY WOW” in the sixth place of the Billboard Hot 100, the highest position achieved in all her trajectory in the list.
