Bruno Mars surprised the audience with the release of the official video clip for “Dance With Me”, one of the songs from his fourth studio album, The Romantic. The audiovisual production, which lasts just over three minutes, caused an immediate upswing on digital platforms thanks to the participation of Karol G, who takes on the protagonist role in a story marked by romance.
The videoclip tells a telenovelesco-style plot that begins with a telephone serenate played by Bruno Mars. By noticing that the American artist sings directly under his balcony, the antioquean performer goes down to the street to meet him. The scene culminates with a warm embrace between the two, a gesture that immediately reactivated speculations about the close relationship they maintain.
Following the publication of the audiovisual, the Hawaiian-born star dedicated moving words to the singer paisa through her social networks. “Thank you for being my Juliet in this music video,” Mars wrote, expressing his admiration for the professional delivery of Carolina Giraldo, who joined the project amid a tight agenda that included three consecutive concerts in stadiums.
“To work with you has been so inspiring,” the musician added before concluding, “The world needs your light and your voice, Carolina.” The colombian artist’s response did not wait and commented in the post: “Forever your princess, Carolina.”
This production represents a new milestone in the alliance between the two exponents, following the success of “Still”, bilingual collaboration included in Karol G’s album “No Me Regretto de Sentir Tanto”.
The first live performance was on August 15 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Since then, constant social media jokes — including Mars’ recent reaction to Karol G’s dance with rapper Drake in Houston — have kept the audience debating with each other whether they witness a real romance or a commercial strategy.
