Donald Trump turned his back on Nancy Mace by refusing to endorse her as a candidate for governor
Donald Trump refused to endorse Nancy Mace as a Republican candidate for the elections to govern South Carolina
The support professed by Representative Nancy Mace towards Donald Trump when he was trying to get rid of court verdicts that could have sent him to prison while campaigning in search of a return to the presidency, was not reciprocated by the New York magnate who chose to support Pam Evette as the most suitable Republican option to try to become governor of South Carolina.
The fact of having defined herself as the version of “Trump in heels” did little to help Nancy Mace obtain his approval for the Republican Party primaries.
Through a publication on the Truth Social platform, the president of the nation opted for Pam Evette, lieutenant governor of South Carolina.
"She is a patriot who defends the interests of the United States and has supported me from the beginning. She never wavered, she never let me down, and she was the only South Carolina gubernatorial candidate who endorsed me as soon as I launched my 2024 presidential campaign. She toured South Carolina and other states for me, and back then I said this is something I will never forget!" he wrote.
In his long message, the 79-year-old Republican practically defined the government program that he hopes the Ohio-born conservative can follow to the letter.
“Pam has demonstrated the courage and wisdom necessary to achieve strong results for the people of her wonderful state and for our nation.
As your next governor, she will fight hard to boost the economy, reduce taxes and regulations, promote MADE IN USA products, support our incredible farmers and ranchers, keep our border SECURE, stop immigration crime, strengthen our Armed Forces and Veterans, safeguard our elections and protect our ever-threatened Second Amendment,” she emphasized.
Despite having been relegated, Nancy Mace confirmed that she will continue with her campaign, as she is confident of winning the Republican vote thanks to her determination to seek justice for the victims of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
"I know I put my support at risk when I demanded transparency in Epstein's files. I demanded it because you deserved the truth, THE WHOLE TRUTH, and as a survivor of a corrupt and dysfunctional justice system, I will always seek justice for those who deserve it.
If sacrificing my values is the price of support, I will never pay it,” he wrote on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter.
