Before the end of the year, Joe Biden, former president of the nation who is fighting a battle against cancer, plans to publish a book in which he addresses some of the episodes that he had to face during the four years in which he occupied the White House.

In a video shared through the

"It's about the challenges we face as a nation. It's about the decisions I made and why I made them.

It's about getting the country through COVID-19, rebuilding our economy, and restoring democracy after the January 6 attack.

It seeks to end our nation's longest war in Afghanistan, strengthen NATO, and support Ukraine.

It's about why I decided to run for re-election and why I decided to retire," he said.

According to Little, Brown and Company, a publisher that bought the rights to publish the former president's work, the date of its release will be November 17, the day on which Democrats could regain control of the House of Representatives and the Senate through the midterm elections.

Before concluding his time in Washington, Biden promised that, unlike other former presidents focused on fully enjoying their retirement from politics, he would try to stay active. However, weeks after leaving the White House, a type of prostate cancer was diagnosed in his body that quickly spread to his bones, producing bone metastasis.

Against this backdrop, the Pennsylvania politician's appearances have been reduced, which he claims does not affect his mood.

"I have been spending a lot of time with my family. I am dealing with a cancer diagnosis, I am receiving treatment and everything is going very well. I hope you read the book and that it strengthens your faith in what we can achieve," he stressed.

It should be noted that, in a matter of hours, Biden's video has accumulated more than 4.7 million views.
