The fresh California congressional district charts, approved by state voters under Proposition 50 during the special election in November 2025, were Wednesday approved by the U. S. Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court upheld a complaint from the California Republicans and the Trump presidency to accept them.

In the past, courts permitted the use of the new Republican-friendly Texas electoral districts in the midterm elections, which California will be able to do as well.
