White House denies that Donald Trump strongly rebuked Pete Hegseth
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a message exposing the Washington Post for writing a fake news story linked to Trump.
Given the dissemination of an alleged wake-up call from President Donald Trump addressed to Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, due to the decrease in defensive missiles that leaves US troops vulnerable to possible attacks from nations considered enemies, Karoline Leavitt, White House press secretary, was forced to intervene to ruin the alleged incident.

This situation caused confusion and discomfort in the head of the nation who, according to a report published by The Washington Post, attacked the Secretary of Defense.
“EXCLUSIVE: President Donald Trump's frustration over the war with Iran erupted last week at Camp David, where he demanded explanations from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth about why he had apparently been misled about the extreme ammunition shortage that now threatens to limit military options,” wrote Tara Copp, a correspondent for the aforementioned newspaper, on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
From then on, the version that there was a rift between the American president and the person responsible for the country's security gained so much strength that it forced Karoline Leavitt to intervene, ensuring that the newspaper in question had lied.
"I was at Camp David with President Trump and Secretary Hegseth. This literally never happened, and we told the Washington Post repeatedly. This false story was spread to many media outlets by someone who was clearly looking to discredit the Secretary, for whatever reason. Unfortunately for them, the President really likes the Secretary and believes he is doing an excellent job. FAKE NEWS!" he wrote.
