Argentine striker Angel Correa, of Tigres UANL, on the eve of their visit to Cruz Azul this Sunday at the Cuauhtemoc Stadium, questioned the lack of a home stadium for La Maquina Celeste (Cruz Azul's nickname), pointing out that last season they played at a different venue and now they don't know where.

“Last season, where did we play? Now we're playing at Puebla's stadium. I don't know where their stadium is. They're a great team, we're aware of that, and we have to prepare in the best way possible and bring back the three points because it's important for us," commented the former Atletico de Madrid player.

Correa remained intrigued about where they will travel this weekend, whether to Mexico City or directly to Puebla, where Cruz Azul will host them on Sunday, after they were forced to leave Pumas' stadium as their temporary venue due to The problems that rose between Cruz Azul and Pumas UNAM due to the fracture suffered by Colombian goalkeeper Kevin Mier and later the death of a Cruz Azul fan outside the Estadio Olimpico Universitario. The only thing the current World Cup champion with Argentina highlighted was facing his former teammate Nicolas Ibanez at Tigres UANL: "I'm happy for Nico (Ibanez) for making his debut and scoring a goal; he truly deserves it. I shared the last tournament with him; he's a great person, both he and his family. They welcomed us very well here, made us feel very comfortable, so I wish them all the best," he said.

Correa applauds Guido Pizarro's possible contract renewal

Angel Correa also commented on the contract renewal of Argentine coach Guido Pizarro: “I was really impressed by how he and his coaching staff work. He's a club legend who knows it perfectly, he's doing a great job, and if he renews, it's surely because he deserves it.

Both Guido and his coaching staff are very close to the players. They try to prepare us in the best way possible, and it shows.

"Whoever starts and whoever comes on in the second half; the team always tries to do the same job. That's the approach we follow," Correa explained. He also said: "Rodrigo (Aguirre), Cesar (Araujo), and Paquito (Reyes) have arrived, bringing us good energy and a desire to compete. They know they're joining a team that just reached a final, and well, we're working on that, we're on that path," he concluded.
