In the opening minutes of the suit against West Ham, athletes Alphonse Areola and Bernd Leno both scored impressive goals, but Mexican Raul Jimenez scored the winning goal in the 86th minute to give Fulham their third straight victory and their goal toward German qualification. Europe (0-1 ).
Leno therefore took center stage against Jarrod Bowen's continual attacks in the following minutes as Areola flew across his objective to refuse Fulham an earlier 0-1 guide. The contest went back and forth, with both penalty kicks being used, but the Mexican international's goalless record was suddenly broken when the winner was determined.
Raul Jimenez headed it past Areola with a bridge from Harry Wilson's aircraft.
West Ham remain in the fall zone, next from base, after their eighth consecutive game without a win, while Fulham are twelfth, three points off a German spot.
