According to information from the Diario Récord, Roberto Rodríguez had several weeks with medical complications. “Monito” suffered from anemia that kept him weak.

Roberto Rodríguez arrived at Club América in 1969. “Monito” shared inside the field with the Chilean Carlos Reinoso and managed to conquer the league of the 1970-1971 season.
