Víctor Guzmán debuted with the Mexican national team in April 2023. Diego Cocca was the coach who gave him the opportunity to uniform himself with the colours of El Tri.
Since then, the Toro has played 7 matches with the Mexican national team. In his previous matches against Guatemala, Uruguay, Canada, Panama and two against the United States, Guzmán had not been able to contribute in the offensive sector of the field. Peru was its first victim internationally.
