Costco is preparing a strong expansion for August 2026. The price club chain will open seven new stores in the United States, distributed in six states, according to the calendar of upcoming openings published by the company itself.

The new branches will be in Albany, New York; Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; Otsego, Minnesota; Mansfield and Celina, Texas; Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Lee's Summit, Missouri. The two Texas openings will be in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, one of the regions where Costco has been strengthening its presence.

Costco accelerates its expansion in the United States

The seven openings are part of a broader growth plan. The company indicated during its May results presentation that it planned to complete 26 new openings during fiscal year 2026 and that, in the long term, it seeks to add more than 30 net establishments per year.

Costco reported on May 28 that it operated 931 warehouses worldwide, including 639 in the United States and Puerto Rico. In its third fiscal quarter, net sales increased 11.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching $69.15 billion.

The August expansion will follow other recent openings in cities such as Syracuse, Utah, and Pensacola, Florida. In addition, the company continues to prepare new locations for the last months of 2026, so the calendar can be updated with more cities and dates.
