A Hispanic day laborer reported missing agreed pay after a two-week job in Riverside County, for which he only received $100.
Jesús Gutiérrez, a worker who has been offering his services outside a Home Depot in the city of La Puente, in Los Angeles County, for almost two years, received a job offer from a man who introduced himself as an architect.
"'Hey, are you looking for a job?', I say yes... I charge cheap, $140 dollars a day, but I guarantee my job," said Gutiérrez, about his meeting with the alleged architect, in an interview with the Univision network.
