A Hispanic tow truck driver was found not guilty of federal charges after being accused of towing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicle during an immigration arrest in downtown Los Angeles.
Bobby Nunez, 33, was accused of stealing government property and faced up to 10 years in prison, but a jury found him not guilty on Friday.
“The trial lasted four days. The jury deliberated for more than three hours. We have no further comment,” the US Attorney's Office said in a statement.
